Hydra, Poros & Aegina Cruise Departing from Athens Greece

Hydra, Poros & Aegina Cruise

Hydra, Poros & Aegina Cruise

Fancy a spot of island hopping? Then, go on this fantastic journey to 3 very different Greek Islands. Poros is a lush island with a maze of narrow streets. Aegina is the main producer of pistachio nuts in Greece, while Hydra is home to a large artist community and where beautiful boutiques line the scenic harbour.

Your first port of call is Hydra, where you will have free time to explore the shops, amble around the town or go for a swim. An early afternoon departure from Hydra, when your buffet lunch will be served, finds you sailing through the narrow strait separating the Peloponnesian coast from the Island of Poros, our second stop, with time for a short visit.

Then, it's time for the cruise to your third island - Aegina. Here, you may join the optional excursion to the Temple of Aphaia (not included in the price) or visit the main town. Finally, you will re-embark for your journey back to the Flisvos marina.

Aegina, is the largest of the Saronic islands and the closest to Attica. With its superb beaches and wonderful climate, Aegina is a very popular summer resort.

Poros, is a thickly wooded small island separated from the Peloponnese coast by a narrow strait. The name "Poros" means in Greek both strait and passage. The interior is occupied by low rocky hills wooded with pines. The scenery and climate are delightful and the island is a favorite quiet summer resort. The town of Poros lies on the strait, opposite the village of Galata, on the Peloponnesian coast.

Hydra, this historic and picturesque island with its distinctive architecture and local color is beloved by artists from around the world. Hydra town is situated like an amphitheater on the steep slopes that enclose the island's deep, natural harbor.

The town takes its character from the imposing mansions that were built in the late 18th century for the great Hydriot families by Venetian and Genoese architects. Hydra today is a fashionable artists' colony, a retreat for intellectuals and a favorite film-making location. The entire island has been designated as a landmark preservation area, and as such, no motor vehicles are permitted.
